Are your hospitality internships abroad paid?

Yes. We do not list unpaid placements. Depending on the destination you are paid either a monthly stipend set by the host hotel or a legally guaranteed hourly wage. Ranges differ substantially: Hong Kong runs HKD 7,000 to 8,500 a month, New Zealand pays at least NZ$23.50 an hour, and Denmark pays collectively agreed Danish wages. Each destination page carries a calculator so you can model your own numbers.

Which hospitality internship destination should I choose?

It depends on what you want out of it. For maximum savings, look at destinations where accommodation and meals are provided: Japan, Vietnam and the UAE frequently leave you with more at the end than higher-paying places where you rent privately. For the strongest CV brand names, the UAE and Hong Kong are hard to beat. For European employment protections and a formal contract, France and Denmark.

How much does it cost to apply for a hospitality internship abroad?

Nothing to apply. A registration fee covers administrative costs, and our placement fee is only due after you receive and accept an offer. Government visa and permit charges are separate and paid directly to the relevant authority.

Do you help with the visa?

Yes, and the mechanism varies by country. In Hong Kong and the UAE your host hotel sponsors the visa directly. In Japan your host obtains a Certificate of Eligibility before you apply at the embassy. In France the placement runs on a convention de stage. In New Zealand and Denmark a work visa or permit applies.

Is accommodation included in a hospitality internship abroad?

In most Asian and Middle Eastern placements, yes. Vietnam includes free shared accommodation, Japanese ryokan and resort hosts typically provide a staff dormitory, and UAE hotels generally provide housing and meals. In Hong Kong, Denmark, France and New Zealand you arrange your own, and we help you find affordable shared housing.

How long does the application process take?

Plan on three to five months from application to arrival for most destinations, and longer for Japan, where the Certificate of Eligibility alone can take one to three months. The single biggest cause of a missed intake is starting late.

Do I need to speak the local language?

English is the working language at almost all of our partner hotels, so conversational English is the core requirement. Japan is the main exception: your Japanese level shapes which departments suit you, although several partner hosts serving mainly international guests hire on English alone and support your Japanese study on the job.

What happens after my placement ends?

You finish with a completion certificate and a reference from your host hotel. A number of our students are offered continuing roles by their host, and others use the placement to move into a graduate programme with the same brand elsewhere.

What we tell every applicant, whether it helps our case or not.

Hospitality placements are demanding. Split shifts, weekends, standing for hours, and guests who are occasionally impossible. Anyone promising you a glamorous six months is selling you something. What we promise instead is that the work is real, the pay is real, and you will finish it more capable than you started.

The hours are real hospitality hours

Split shifts, weekends and public holidays are normal. Hotels do not close.

You start at the bottom

Interns begin on the floor, not in an office. That is the point — it is where the learning is.

Some destinations will say no

Nationality, age, language level or timing can rule a country out. We tell you at the screening call, not after.

The highest stipend is not the best deal
